AI-enabled ambient scribing products in health and care settings

NHS England - 

This guidance outlines key considerations for NHS technology leaders implementing ambient scribing products across health and care settings in England. Ambient scribing products, when combined with generative Artificial Intelligence (AI), can convert speech directly into structured medical documentation, such as notes and letters. The products are sometimes referred to as ambient scribes or AI scribes and include advanced ambient voice technologies (AVTs) used for clinical or patient documentation and workflow support.

T Levels in health and care

NHS Employers -

This guide sets out what T Levels are and what they mean for employers in health and social care. T Levels are delivered by many schools and colleges. They are taught full time and include an industry placement, with up to three employers, for a minimum of 315 hours (approximately 45 days). This can include up to 35 hours of work taster activities, delivered in an employment setting. T Levels are not currently available for adult learners.

Following the UK’s exit from the European Union, most migrant workers - including those in health and care positions - arriving in the UK do so under a system of employer-sponsorship. This briefing examines why employer-sponsorship is problematic from a workers’ rights perspective, the changes that some of the UK’s international partners have made to tackle migrant worker exploitation in their own work migration systems, and how similar solutions could be introduced in the UK.

This report looks at how the rapid growth in private sector provision of NHS cataract care has happened, the profits which have been generated by some of the companies and the conflicts of interest which lie at the heart of this new way of delivering NHS eye care. Based on an analysis of NHS expenditure data, freedom of information requests, companies house accounts and interviews with those working in NHS England the report identifies various issues which policy makers should address.

Men's Health Strategy for England: call for evidence

Department of Health and Social Care -
Men are disproportionately affected by a number of health conditions, including cancer, cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes. Life expectancy data also shows that men live on average four years fewer than women (79.1 versus 83.0 years in England, respectively). This call for evidence will inform the development of a Men’s Health Strategy for England. The closing date for comments is 17 July 2025.

Supporting system improvement: lessons from a peer learning programme

NHS Confederation -
System improvement can help deliver more holistic, place-based care that improves people’s health and expands beyond the NHS to include the voluntary sector, local government and other partners. It provides an opportunity to do things differently by working at scale, breaking down siloes, maximising resources and tackling issues that cannot be solved by individual organisations. This report explores the challenges facing those leading and delivering improvement across systems and discusses how peer learning can facilitate progress.
