Accessing special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) provision for Black and mixed Black heritage children: lived experiences from parents and professionals living in South London

Impact on Urban Health - 

Global Black Maternal Health were commissioned to lead a research project to better understand the experiences of Black and mixed heritage children and families (including the impact on mental health) when a child has special educational needs or disabilities (SEND). This research provides clear recommendations for policy makers to improve families’ experiences of navigating the support system for children with SEND.
