This strategy outlines the UK’s four nation plan to continue reducing monkeypox (mpox) transmission over the next twelve months. It builds on the system-wide response so far this year and sets out the current position and the long-term goal to eliminate mpox transmission in the UK. The strategic goal over the next six to twelve months is focused on: reducing harm; suppressing current UK transmission; minimising UK transmission from imported cases; and contributing to a reduction in the global burden.
