The role of the rheumatology nurse specialist is complex and may include roles in paediatric nursing, research, advanced level skills in clinical assessment, prescribing and providing intra-articular injections amongst others.

Each baby counts: 2019 progress report

Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists -
This report recommends new measures to reduce stillbirths, baby deaths and brain injuries. It finds that the number of parents being involved in investigations, and the quality of reviews is increasing, and therefore improving understanding of how to prevent future deaths and injuries. Recommendations include how maternity care can be improved, and how to support maternity teams to escalate critical situations.

Public health ring-fenced grant 2020/21

Local authorities (upper tier and unitary) are responsible for improving the health of their local population and reducing health inequalities. In the financial year ending 2021, local authorities will receive a £3.279 billion public health grant for their public health duties for all ages.
