Health Education England (HEE) -
The GP Taskforce was established prior to the establishment of HEE and it was asked to recommend how the system could achieve the long-standing workforce target for 3,250 trainees to enter GP training in England each year by 2015. This report identifies the blocks to progress, as well as considering other key factors affecting the overall size of the GP workforce, namely retention and retirement rates.
