Consultation on digital engagement guidelines for health and wellbeing boards

Local Government Association (LGA) - 
The Health and Wellbeing System Improvement Programme, funded by the Department of Health and delivered by the Local Government Association (LGA), is working with public sector social media experts comms2point0 to consider how health and wellbeing boards can explore their strengths and opportunities, and improve the way they engage digitally with their local residents. The results from this consultation survey will go on to inform digital engagement guidance. The survey closes on 2nd June 2014.

Improving engagement with clincians on business decisions

Monitor - 
Monitor is running a survey on how different healthcare providers engage with clinicians, with a specific focus on service line management and how this is organised. As well as improving our understanding of how the healthcare sector is organising itself and supporting clinical engagement with decision-making, Monitor will use the results to create new learning and support programmes. The survey shouldn't take more than 20 minutes to complete and it closes on 6th June 2014.

Being a manager, becoming a professional? A case study and interview-based exploration of the use of management knowledge across communities of practice in health-care organisations

This study aimed to investigate how NHS middle managers encounter, adapt and apply management knowledge in their working practices and to examine the factors which may facilitate or impede the acceptance of new management knowledge and its integration with practice in health-care settings.

Behavioral Health Integration Capacity Assessment Tool (BHICA)

Institute for Healthcare Improvement -
The purpose of the BHICA is to assist behavioral health organizations in evaluating their ability to implement integrated care. The BHICA enables behavioral health organizations to evaluate their processes related to three approaches to integrated care: coordinate care, co-locate care, or build primary care capacity in-house. It also allows organizations to assess their existing operational and cultural infrastructure to support greater integration.

A measure of change: an evaluation of the impact of the public health transfer to local authorities on alcohol - interim report

This report looks at local alcohol services and commissioning following the transfer of Public Health teams to local authorities. It is based on a survey of CCGs, Directors of Public Health and service providers in 30 local authority areas. It finds a greater focus on alcohol issues but expresses concerns over funding.
