People with Down Syndrome are living longer. They also develop dementia, particularly Alzheimers, much earlier than others. There is a growing need to promote appropriate assessment and care planning, and to ensure that housing and support services recognise and respond to the particular needs of those individuals with Down Syndrome who are living with dementia.
