The House of Lords Science and Technology Committee published its report on allergy on 26 September 2007. This command paper sets out the government's response to the conclusions and recommendations in that report. The Department of Health has co-ordinated the response, which also includes contributions from other government departments. The government welcomes the Committee’s report, which highlights allergy as an issue that needs to be addressed by a range of stakeholders, including the government. The government recognises the importance of allergy and is committed to playing its part in helping to alleviate the burden of allergic disorders. This command paper refers to some of the strategies being developed and employed to do so. (DH - publications)
