From 1 September 2006, changes to the NHS complaints regulations will come into force. The DH has published Supporting staff, improving services - guidance to support implementation of the: National Health Service (Complaints) Amendment Regulations 2006 to accompany the changes. These are designed to make the complaints procedure clearer and easier to access for those who need it. The amendments to the NHS complaints procedure take them into closer alignment with the changes to the social care complaints procedures. (DH - publications)
