This study confirms that the sector is worth an estimated £43 billion
- including all direct, indirect and induced effects. It was also found
that the sector supports a total of 2.8 million full time equivalent
jobs. It was also found that the adult social care sector directly
employs around 1.5 million workers in 1.7 million jobs. This equates for
6.4% of the total workforce in England.
