This consultation seeks views on the BRC guidance proposal for front
of pack (FoP) nutrition labelling. The guidance is based on the
requirements of the EU Regulation 1169/2011 on the provision of food
information to consumers (EU FIC), as well as the UK health ministers’
stated preference for a hybrid FoP scheme: combining red, amber, green
colours with ‘% guideline daily amounts/reference intakes’. Responses
and queries are invited until Wednesday 27th February 2013.
