This summary outlines the views expressed in the 66 responses to the
consultation on future of audit staff in trusts. Previous surveys have
shown that audit staff in trusts are increasingly concerned about their
position, role and prospects, which is a concern shared by the National
Advisory Group for Clinical Audit and Enquiries (NAGCAE). Their aim
with this consultation is to help facilitate and support the
contribution that audit staff in trusts make in the future.
