This independent report gives clinical advice on the medical care of
suspected internal drug traffickers (SIDTs). The Chief Medical Officer
commissioned an expert group to produce this report, which has been
submitted to the UK Border Agency for consideration. The intention of
this report is to assist in the ongoing development of clinical guidance
on the care of such detainees and to inform the future planning of
services.
