2012 accountability hearing with the Care Quality Commission (CQC): seventh report of session 2012-13

This report presents the findings of the 2012 accountability hearing with CQC and assesses the performance of the body over the past year. The committee concludes that CQC have not been successful in ensuring that essential standards of care have been enforced and as a result, patients, residents and relatives do not have confidence in CQC's standards or the outcome of inspections.
