An RCN survey into the effect of the economic downturn on the quality of care provided by nurses has found that many community nurses are facing cutbacks and spending less time with patients. RCN Chief Executive & General Secretary Dr Peter Carter warned this will result in in many nurses reaching breaking point, and a deterioration in patient care.
