Updated Child Health Promotion Programme [CHPP]

Child Health Promotion Programme (CHPP): Pregnancy and the first five years of life builds on the children’s National Service Framework and is intended to provide preventative services tailored to the individual needs of children and families, as well as acting as a best practice guide for children’s services.  It is a tool for supporting commissioners to meet obligations on breast-feeding, obesity prevention, infant mortality and the 12-week antenatal assessment, and also to help to improve general health and well-being among children and families in the community.
